Heather Quick, CEO and Managing Attorney of Florida Women’s Law Group; Divorce and Family Law for Women, was the keynote at the Republican Women’s Club of Duval Federated (RWCDF) monthly meeting in May. Quick spoke on women’s issues including divorce, domestic violence and protecting assets when remarrying. Also addressed was the failed Senate Bill 1248, which would have eliminated permanent alimony for women.

Sharon Light, President of the RWCDF, proclaimed, “Heather Quick was wonderful. She had her game on and everyone was impressed!”

The May meeting was the RWCDF’s annual hat luncheon. Quick had no qualms about jumping in on the fun and wore a pink derby hat. According to Quick, “These ladies are empowered. I was very impressed with this group of women and look forward to being an active participant in the RWCDF.”

The RWCDF is a grass roots organization with 100,000 members nationwide and 1,800 clubs. Members work together to advance the power of women through political access and participation. The mission of the RWCDF is to help women become involved in politics nationally, statewide and locally. They promote women in politics locally in Jacksonville, Florida.
