Julie Rountree, Of Counsel Attorney

Julie Rountree is an of counsel attorney with Florida Women’s Law Group, where she works with women in northeast Florida who are moving through divorce and other family changes.  She supports clients who are dealing with major changes and need clear, thoughtful guidance as they work through a process that can feel unfamiliar and emotionally charged.

Julie focuses on the emotional and practical sides of divorce at the same time. She pays close attention to what clients are dealing with day to day, not just what is happening on paper. Clients often describe the experience of working with her as steady and grounded. She takes the time to explain options in plain language and helps people feel more prepared for each next step, rather than rushed.

Julie began her career after earning a criminology degree from the University of Florida and a law degree from Stetson University College of Law. She has spent nearly two decades working in family law and was one of the first attorneys under the Florida Women’s Law Group brand. Along the way, she expanded her work to include divorce coaching, which reflects her interest in helping people manage change both legally and personally.

Outside of work, Julie volunteers with the Jacksonville Humane Society and values time that helps her stay connected, balanced, and present for the people she serves.
